£360,000 RESURFACING IMPROVEMENTS
Works start Monday 13th March for three weeks
Two sections of the A887 Trunk Road near Invermoriston are set to benefit from resurfacing improvements worth £360,000.
The improvements to the A887 Trunk Road, approximately five miles east of Bun Loyne Junction, are scheduled to begin on Monday 13th March and will last for three weeks. Works will take place between 7am and 7pm, Monday to Friday. No works are scheduled to take place during the weekend.
During the improvements a convoy system will be in use for the safety of road workers and motorists, however this will be removed out of working hours. A 30mph speed limit will remain in place outside of working hours due to traffic travelling over a temporary road surface.
Commenting on the improvements, Eddie Ross, BEAR Scotland’s North West Representative, said: “These works will greatly improve the road surface at two locations on the A887, creating a safer and smoother journey for motorists.
“We’ve taken steps to minimise disruption to motorists by avoiding working at the weekend, and our teams will work to complete the resurfacing as quickly and safely as possible.
“We thank motorists for their patience in advance and would also encourage them to plan ahead before setting out by checking the Traffic Scotland website for up to date travel information”.
