Motorists using the A85 at Glen Ogle are to benefit from an improved drainage system as £30,000 worth of work gets underway from today.
The drainage works will help direct water away from the carriageway and help improve safety on this 5km section of the road.
Works will begin today, Monday 13 March, and are expected to take up to three weeks to complete. The works shall be carried out between 7am and 7pm each day.
The road will remain open however temporary traffic lights will be in place to ensure the safety of roadworkers as well as motorists.
Eddie Ross, BEAR Scotland’s Representative for the North West, said: “These essential works will upgrade the existing drainage systems on the route which will improve safety for road users.
“We thank motorists for their patience in advance and would also encourage them to plan ahead before setting out by checking the Traffic Scotland website for up to date travel information.”
