Essential drainage improvements
A90 Finavon Southbound
Work starts Tuesday 18 April for seven days
Essential drainage improvements are scheduled to take place for seven days starting this week on the A90 at Finavon southbound.
These works will help to alleviate any localised issues during periods of heavy rain. The section of road is used by over 10,000 vehicles every day and the works will help improve safety for road users.
Earlier this month a series of drainage improvements were carried out to a 2.5km section of the A90 at Finavon to improve the existing facilities on the route, with this next phase set to complete the drainage upgrades to a further 2km section of the route.
The drainage works will begin on Tuesday 18 April for seven days. A lane closure will be in place on the southbound carriageway until the works are completed to ensure the safety of the work force and road users during the essential works.
Commenting on the improvements, Andy Thompson, BEAR Scotland’s North East Representative, said: “These works will address drainage issues on this section of the road which will help improve the general condition and safety of the route for road users.
“We encourage motorists to plan their journeys in advance and allow some extra time to reach their destination.”
