A85 Crianlarich Village

Works commence on 11th Sept for five days

Motorists using the A85 through Crianlarich village are to benefit from an improved road surface as £65,000 worth of resurfacing is to be carried out.

Improvement works to a 472m section of the A85 will begin on Monday 11th September and are expected to take up to five days to complete. The works shall be carried out between 0700 and 1900 hours each day.

While the road will remain open throughout, it will be necessary to implement a 10mph convoy traffic management system to ensure the safety of both members of the public and the workforce.

Eddie Ross, BEAR Scotland Operating Company Representative for the North West, said: “These essential resurfacing works will upgrade the existing road surface, greatly improving the ride quality and safety for road users.

“The traffic management arrangements are necessary due to the location of the works. Unfortunately this means some disruption will be experienced. However, the safety of our workforce as well as the travelling public is paramount.

“We thank road users for their patience in advance and would also encourage them to plan ahead before setting out by checking the Traffic Scotland website for up to date travel information.”
