A83 Succoth

Works start on Monday 22 January for five days

Motorists using the A83 through Succoth are to benefit from an improved road surface as £60,000 worth of resurfacing works are carried out later this month.

Works to a section of the A83 almost 400m long will begin on Monday 22 January and are expected to be completed over five days, between 7am and 7pm each day.

For safety of road workers as well as motorists, a 10mph convoy system with temporary traffic lights will be in place during the works.  The convoy system will be removed outside of working hours however a temporary speed limit of 30mph will remain in place as traffic will be running over a temporary surface.

Eddie Ross, BEAR Scotland’s North West Representative, said: “These essential resurfacing works will upgrade the existing road surface, greatly improving the quality and safety for road users.

“The traffic management arrangements are necessary due to the restricted width of the road at this location but our teams will do all they can to keep any disruption to a minimum.

“We thank motorists for their patience in advance and would also encourage them to plan ahead before setting out by checking the Traffic Scotland website for up to date travel information.”
