A90 Arbuckles to Swallow Roundabout, northbound, Dundee

Works start Monday 12 August for five nights

Overnight road maintenance improvements are scheduled to take place on the A90 between Arbuckles and the Swallow Roundabout in Dundee starting on Monday night.

The £190,000 investment will see surfacing improvements carried out over almost a mile of the northbound carriageway on the A90 on the approach to the Swallow Roundabout just outside of Dundee, creating a smoother and safer journey for over 20,000 road users who use this section each day.

The project is scheduled to begin on Monday 12 August and will take place over five nights.

During the improvements traffic management will be in place for the safety of the workforce and for motorists. A 10mph convoy system will be in place overnight on the northbound A90 between 7.30pm and 6.30am.  All traffic management will be removed each morning prior to the morning peak.

Andy Thompson, BEAR Scotland’s North East Representative, said: “This £190,000 investment from Transport Scotland will allow us to carry out a resurfacing project for this section of the A90 on approach to the Swallow Roundabout, ensuring our network continues to operate at the highest standard.

“Our teams will do all they can to complete the project as quickly and safely as possible, and we encourage motorists to plan their journey in advance and check the Traffic Scotland website before setting out."

The works will be carried out by BEAR Scotland and have been planned in consultation with the Emergency Services, Perth and Kinross Council, Dundee City Council and Transport Scotland.
